Choosing a Blog host
If you are unfamiliar with blogs, it seems the two dominant blog hosts are Blogger (by Google) and WordPress.
Blogger is by far the simplest and uses your Gmail name and password to sign you in, while WordPress seems in some respects to have more blogging versatility .
Since your blog(s) will be something you maintain yourself, it shouldn't take precedents over your business. A helpful comparison between Blogger and WordPress can be found at: http://pulsed.blogspot.com/2007/07/blogger-wordpress-chart.html
One more thing, once your blog has grown exponentially, will it still be there in a year or two? http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/geocities/360/

Why does it take forever to see my site changes in search results
SEO/Crawling: Crawling is when an Internet Search Engine Bot visits your website and reads your web pages page by following the links contained within your site. It makes a record of all the words used on your pages that can later be used to find your pages when searching for those words.
This process is called "crawling" or "spidering" because of the way in which the robot moves through your site. Most Internet Search Engines work in the same way.
A Bot can visit some of your pages in one sweep, and eventually will find all of your pages after subsequent sweeps. Each time the Bot has crawled your site the information is passed on to another part of the software which goes on to analyze the words and phrases to get them ready to be added to the index.
So after your site has been crawled, you still need to wait for the next Search Engine Update. So what’s reflected today on the search results is actually an image of the Web a couple to a few weeks ago, or more. Seemingly, the results of SEO can seem to take forever to show up in search results, but eventually your recent changes to your site will be propagated, and will be reflected in the search results. Patience is the key when looking for SEO results.
